Today I met with Ambassador #HansHenricLundquist of @SweinEthiopia & held discussions on a number of issues of mutual concern. Among other issues, we tried & touched base on the progress of & challenges in the implementation of the Pretoria Accords, accountability & transitional Justice, the return of IDPs, the recurring challenges in the distribution of humanitarian aid & the role that Sweden could play in #Tigray’s recovery & rehabilitation efforts. I have also reaffirmed our commitment to peace & our readiness to work with the federal government & the International community to address the challenges going forward. As the current president of the EU council, it’s my hope & expectation that it could help shape EU policy on its engagement with Ethiopia in a manner that promotes peace & stability in the entire region.
